内容简介：
This lecture takes up the question of political legitimacy in non-Western societies by focusing first on the movement in the work of the American philosopher John Rawls from moral justification to political legitimacy. Second, the lecture reframes the argument for political liberalism from one that is shaped by western developments to one that is open to any reasonable adaptation to modernity. Third, the lecture will address the question, how the orientation toward political legitimacy in political liberalism can be adapted to civic values implicit in Asian cultures.
主讲简介：
David Rasmussen，美国芝加哥大学博士，现任美国波士顿学院（Boston College）哲学系教授。他是著名学术期刊《哲学与社会批判》的创刊人及主编，同时担任近期创刊的《美国哲学学会期刊》副主编。Rasmussen教授关于尤尔根·哈贝马斯、保罗·利科，以及约翰·罗尔斯的多部学术著作和文章均在学术界内受到高度好评。他现在正在完成一本关于约翰·罗尔斯后期哲学的学术著作。
