Abstract of the Lecture:

About classical hermeneutics, Dai Zhen put forward a system of methodology which includes philological, part-whole-rounded, knowledge archeological and mind-to-mind ones. For contemporary classical interpretation, it’s could be made a live use of it.

  

Brief Introduction of the Lecturer:

WU Genyou is Professor of Wuhan University and Changjiang Distinguished Professor, the author of more than ten books and over one hundred articles. His investigate area is Chinese philosophy of 14th-18th century, political philosophy and comparative philosophy.
