Brief Introduction:

The Civil War between the KMT and the CPC in the late 1940s, the Serious Economic Difficulties in the 1960s and The Cultural Revolution in 1966 were three major events in the history of CPC. Zhou Enlai, as one of the leaders of the party, government and army, played an irreplaceable positive role in handling military affairs, government affairs and party affairs in an extremely complicated and difficult situation. This lecture will carefully reveal Zhou Enlai's experiences in these three major events and the reasons behind them.

  

Brief introduction of the Lecturer:

Li Haiwen, retired fellow in the Party History Research Center of the CPC Central Committee, is a famous expert studying and researching the history of CPC and Zhou Enlai. She graduated from the History Department of Peking University and successively worked in the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, the former Literature Research Center of the CPC Central Committee, and the former Party History Research Center of the CPC Central Committee. She used to be the deputy group leader of the research group of Zhou Enlai, former deputy editor of the Journal Research on the History of the CPC and chief editor of the Information on the History of the CPC. She has written books such as The Story of Zhou Enlai, Characters and Events at the Turning Point in the History of the CPC, The Overthrow of the Followers of “The Gang of Four” in Shanghai etc, and sorted out the memoirs of Shi Zhe, Beside the Giants of History.
