Abstract of the Lecture:

The lecture is dealing with the images of China in Russian textbooks, it’s evolution for several decades since the collapse of the Soviet Union and its particular features in today’s textbooks.

Polina Rysakova is associate professor at Faculty of Asian and African Studies, Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia. She was also an associate professor at Department of Sociology and Political Studies, Saint-Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, Russia.She studied Chinese language at Beijing University of Foreign Languages.
